SIR JUNK is a locally owned and managed, junk removal company based out of Ramsey, New Jersey. Their goal is to provide the best value for the customers they serve in Bergen County.
Before partnering with Bowery Operations, they were put in a tough spot. Their web provider was charging them an premium price for their WordPress site, but became unresponsive to requests to provide them with backups, source code, and even the ability to make updates to their own site.
By partnering with Bowery Operations, we were able create a plan with them that involved migrating ownership of the website from their previous provider to Bowery Operations without needing to involve the original provider.
Our plan involved moving the SIR JUNK site from an over-saturated shared server to their own dedicated server, improving overall security and performance of the site, while also providing them with full administrative control over their site and server.
We applied caching strategies, as well as applied a Web Application Firewall (WAF), to improve page load speeds by over 70%, as well as cut down and mitigate the impact of all of the automated bot requests that were hitting the site.
We also implemented a full website redesign, optimizing for both desktop and mobile, to further improve customer trust. Finally, we built out a custom form solution that leveraged AWS serverless resources to drastically minimize the cost-per-notification for form submissions, while also reducing the time it took to load the form from up to a couple of seconds, to milliseconds. In the first month of launching the redesigned site, the amount of online contact form submissions for them hit an all-time high and the volume of online submissions has consistently remained higher than previous months.
All this was done while also reducing their monthly operating cost for the site infrastructure by over 84%.
At Bowery Operations our goal is to work with our partners to understand their needs and provide the maximal amount of value.
